IBPS RRB PO — current cycle
The 1 September 2026 notification opened registration from 1 to 21 September 2026. The corrigendum dated 21 September 2026 revised registration and fee payment for Officers and Office Assistants to 1–27 September 2026. Other terms were left unchanged, so age is still as on 1 September 2026 and the degree result date is still 21 September 2026. The IBPS calendar dated 16 January 2026 places Officer Scale I prelims on 21 and 22 November 2026 and the Scale I main exam on 20 December 2026. Scale II and Scale III have no prelims: each is a single exam on that same 20 December 2026 mains date. Those calendar dates are tentative. The interview is only a window, January/February 2027, not a fixed day. Vacancy counts below are the sums of the bank-wise totals in Annexure I as on 25 September 2026. IBPS did not print one grand total. Updates are listed at ibps.in/index.php/rural-bank-xv/.

XIV and XIII are the two cycles before this one. Dates are the windows in those notifications. The current XIV and XIII pages do not list the days the exams were actually held. Vacancy figures are sums of the bank-wise totals in the official annexures. IBPS has not published one national cutoff.

Registration was extended to 30 June 2024. Those vacancy sums leave out banks marked Not Reported in the 7 June 2024 annexure. Provisional allotment was scheduled for January 2025.
FAQs
IBPS RRB PO Frequently Asked Questions
It ran from 1 September 2026 to 27 September 2026. The detailed notification had said 21 September 2026. The corrigendum dated 21 September 2026 extended registration and fee payment to 27 September 2026. On 30 October 2026 that window is closed.
The IBPS calendar dated 16 January 2026 schedules prelims on 21 and 22 November 2026 and the main exam on 20 December 2026. IBPS can still change those dates. The interview is only tentatively January or February 2027.
No. The same calendar marks their preliminary exam as not applicable. Each Scale II cadre and Scale III has a single exam on 20 December 2026, the Scale I mains date. Shortlisted candidates are then called for the common interview.
Not on 30 October 2026. The CRP RRBs XV page on ibps.in lists notices only through the vacancy update of 25 September 2026. There is no call letter on that page.
Annexure I as on 25 September 2026 sums to 4,256 Scale I, 1,059 Scale II and 220 Scale III posts, 5,535 in all. Scale I is SC 627, ST 318, OBC (NCL) 1,139, EWS 420 and General 1,752. IBPS calls these indicative. A candidate may also apply for Office Assistant, but for only one officer scale.
For every wrong answer in the objective tests, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question is deducted. A question left blank has no penalty. This applies to the preliminary, main and single exams.
